Challenges facing construction industry among issues to be brought up in Dewan Rakyat Thursday (Sept 30)

KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama): The challenges facing the construction sector and the assistance given to those affected by the government is one of the questions scheduled to be raised at the Dewan Rakyat sitting Thursday (Sept 30).

According to the Order Paper of the Dewan Rakyat, this will be raised by Datuk Ahmad Nazlan Idris (BN-Jerantut) to Senior Works Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof during Ministers' Question Time.

Meanwhile, P. Kasthuriraani (PH-Batu Kawan) will also ask Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob whether the government will increase the pension payments for the B40 group in line with the high cost of living and the large number of people who lost their incomes during the Covid-19 pandemic.

For the Oral Question and Answer session, Rubiah Wang (GPS-Kota Samarahan) is scheduled to pose a question to the Prime Minister on the Special Cabinet Committee on the Malaysia Agreement 1963, as well as the government's action plan in restoring the rights of Sabah and Sarawak.

There will also be a question by Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan (BN-Pontian) on preparations by the Science, Technology and Innovation Ministry for the country to produce its own vaccines.

The sitting will then continue with the debate on the 12th Malaysia Plan (12MP).

On Wednesday (Sept 29), 29 MPs took part in the debate on the 12MP that was tabled by the Prime Minister on Monday (Sept 27).

The current Dewan Rakyat sitting will be for 17 days until Oct 12. - Bernama
