Covid-19: Over 230,000 vaccine doses administered on Saturday (Sept 18)


PETALING JAYA: A total of 232,559 Covid-19 vaccine doses were administered on Saturday (Sept 18), says the Covid-19 Vaccine Supply Access Guarantee Special Committee (JKJAV).

In a series of tweets on Sunday (Sept 19), it said that 93.1% of Malaysia's adult population or 21,938,426 people have received at least one dose of a vaccine while 78.2% or 18,295,014 adult individuals are now fully inoculated.

It added that a total of 40,155,975 doses have been administered nationwide since the beginning of the Covid-19 National Immunisation Programme.

The JKJAV also said that Sabah saw the most first doses administered at 35,927, followed by Johor (7,458), Perak (5,910) and Penang (5,512).

Meanwhile, Johor has the most second doses administered recorded at 35,327 followed by Kuala Lumpur (18,641), Sabah (17,359) and Kedah (16,243).
