Covid-19: 17,577 new cases bring total to 2,067,327


PETALING JAYA: Malaysia recorded 17,577 new Covid-19 cases on Friday (Sept 17), bringing the cumulative total to 2,067,327, according to the Health Ministry.

In a tweet, Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said Sarawak recorded the highest number of cases at 3,480, followed by Selangor (2,646) and Johor (2,334).

Cases in other states and territories are as follows: Perak (1,596), Sabah (1,533), Penang (1,462), Kedah (1,173), Kelantan (869), Pahang (832), Terengganu (719), Kuala Lumpur (366), Melaka (287), Negri Sembilan (198), Perlis (41), Putrajaya (31) and Labuan (10).
