Man drives car into hospital building in Ipoh after father suffers heart attack

IPOH: A man drove his car up to the entrance of the emergency department within the Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun building here after his father suffered a heart attack.

A 54-second video of the incident went viral on social media.

In the video, the man, who is shirtless, gets out of the car and shouts for help.

Hospital staff wheel a stretcher over to the car and take the man's father to the emergency department.

Perak police chief Datuk Comm Mior Faridalathrash Wahid said the man, who was in a panic, drove his car into the building on Saturday (Sept 4).

"The staff there tried to calm the driver before requesting him to move his car to the parking lot.

"The patient has been warded, There were no injuries or damage to public property caused," he said.

Comm Mior Faridalathrash said no police report was lodged on the matter.
