Covid-19: Vaccination for state civil servants in Sabah at 95%, says Masidi

KOTA KINABALU: The Covid-19 vaccination rate for Sabah civil servants is at 95% at present, consisting of 19,104 state government employees.

State Covid-19 spokesperson Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun when informing this, said the remaining 5% from the total 20,109 state staff were either waiting for their turn, or could not be vaccinated due to health reasons.

On the progress of vaccinations in Sabah, he said that as of Sunday (Aug 29), 38% of the targeted adult population had completed their immunisation, while 57.2% had received the first dose.

"We expect by National Day night tomorrow (Aug 31), 40% of Sabah's adult population will be fully inoculated," he said on Monday (Aug 30) to update Covid-19 developments in Sabah.

Sabah recorded 2,310 cases on Monday, a drop of 268 cases compared to 2,578 the day before.

"There are still backlog cases being registered late due to unavoidable circumstances.

"Today, 882 cases or 38.2%, are results registered late between two to three days, 216 cases (9.4%) are those late for four to five days, and 260 cases (11.3%) are those delayed over five days," said Masidi.
