PETALING JAYA: Malaysia’s impressive Covid-19 vaccination rate has received the thumbs up from Ho Ching (pic), the wife of Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong.
In a Facebook posting yesterday, she commended Malaysia for its vaccination rate of up to half a million shots daily.
“This is the current run rate in the US too, except that the US has 10 times the population of M’sia. Go, go, go!” the Temasek Holdings chief executive wrote.
The number of Covid-19 daily vaccinations in Malaysia surpassed 500,000 doses over the past six days, with 519,111 doses administered on Saturday.
Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Adham Baba, in an Infographic posted on Twitter on Sunday, said of the total doses administered on Saturday, 316,492 were first doses while 202,619 were second doses.
Cumulatively, a total of 20,533,660 doses have been administered in the country since the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme kicked off on Feb 24.
