Dr Wee pledges to ensure adequate supplies at all 37 food banks in Ayer Hitam

PETALING JAYA: Adequate food aid is important to ensure the welfare of the underprivileged during the pandemic and Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong will ensure that all food banks in his Ayer Hitam constituency remain stocked.

The Transport Minister had returned to Ayer Hitam over the weekend, where he handed out food baskets to the underprivileged and visited chronic patients at Taman Selatan, Taman Kota Yong Peng and Kg Parit Semo Ayer Hitam on Sunday (Aug 1).

Dr Wee said the food basket programme commenced early last month in his parliamentary constituency and he will continue monitoring all 37 food banks in Ayer Hitam to ensure adequate supplies.

"The Ayer Hitam MP service centre will continue helping Malaysians affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

"I will continue monitoring all 37 food banks in Ayer Hitam to ensure that supplies are adequate," the MCA president said in a Facebook post on Sunday (Aug 1).

"While visiting the food supply warehouse, I found that there were still enough stocks to help the people," he added.
