PETALING JAYA: Those who are against the Perikatan Nasional administration actually fear its ability to solve the problems plaguing the country, says Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang.

The PAS president said the strength of the Perikatan government is a cause of concern to those in the country who do not want to see Muslims united in the country.

“The governance of the Perikatan Nasional government which has shown positive changes will be challenged, because the dominance of Muslims and the non-extreme group is feared to be able to solve many problems that will unite the Muslims.

“As such, all people must be aware and realise this. Don’t be fooled anymore and instead stop the rotten elements which are conspiring to eliminate Islam in this country.

“There is already a movement to topple the Perikatan government by any means necessary,” he said in a statement on Friday (July 30).

His statement comes as the country is in a politically uncertain state, as the Yang di-Pertuan Agong recently expressed his great disappointment over the steps taken by the Perikatan Nasional government concerning the revocation of the Emergency Ordinances.

This has led to many Opposition MPs and various other parties pressuring Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin to resign as Prime Minister.
