PUTRAJAYA: The enhanced movement control order will be enforced at 22 localities in Sabah and one in Pahang beginning Aug 1.
In Tawau, six areas will be affected - Bandar Sabindo, Kampung Rancangan Sungai Tongkang, Taman Kukusan Batu 2, Lorang Habib Abdul Rahman, PPR Sri Semarak and Taman Berjaya.
Five localities will be placed under lockdown in Keningau.
The areas are Kampung Bariawa Laut, Kampung Baitah, Kampung Panagatan Ulu, Kampung Kota Ayangan and Rumahh Kongsi Jutaya Lingkudau.
The EMCO will also affect three localities in Kudat, namely Kampung Lupak Meluas Darat, Kampung Sundang Laut and Taman Sejati flats, while in Kota Kinabalu, the areas involved are Taman Sempelang in Sembulan, as well as Kampung Sembulan Tengah and Lama.
Senior Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein said Kampung Tempasuk 1 in Kota Belud, Kampung Tengah Padang in Putatan and Kampung Babagong in Penampang will also be placed under EMCO.
In Pahang, the affected locality is Kampung Tanjung Kerayong in Mentakab.
“These localities will be placed under EMCO for 14 days untll Aug 14. Standard operating procedures (SOP) for those under the order can be obtained from the National Security Council (NSC) website,” he said on Friday (July 30).
Hishammuddin also said the EMCO placed in four localities will be extended till Aug 14.
The affected areas are Taman Tas & Pandan, Taman Indera Sempurna and Taman Impianku in Kuantan, Pahang, as well as Kampung Siansai Dundau in Kota Belud, Sabah.
