Wee is all praise for KJ’s NIP presentation

PETALING JAYA: Transport Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong lauded fellow Cabinet member Khairy Jamaluddin for his stellar presentation at the Dewan Rakyat special sitting.

Khairy, who is Science, Technology and Innovation Minister, gave a presentation about the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme (NIP) as its coordinating minister yesterday.

“KJ answered calmly every question raised by Opposition MPs. I can hear some who said ‘agree with the government’ and there were not many disturbances from them.

“Congratulations KJ! It is very rare in the Dewan Rakyat when former health minister Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad praises KJ’s good performance.

“Several Opposition MPs have also been indirectly lauding his effort,” he said on his Facebook page.

Dr Wee noted that Khairy also took on Dr Dzulkefly’s many questions and addressed them at “doctor’s standards”.

He also praised Khairy for his confident, assertive and comprehensive presentation, saying that he detailed – among other things – the implementation of the NIP, the vaccine procurement process and vaccine registration with the National Pharmaceutical Regulatory Agency.

Khairy’s presentation, he said, included information on the vaccine supply schedule, achievements or percentages of Malaysians vaccinated and vaccination targets of the plan.

He also posted pictures of him and Khairy, who was seated behind him in the House.
