Several localities in KL, Sabah, and Sarawak under EMCO from July 25-Aug 7


KUALA LUMPUR: Several localities in Kuala Lumpur, Sabah and Sarawak will be placed under enhanced movement control order from July 25 until Aug 7, says Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

The Deputy Prime Minister said for Sabah, the localities are Kampung Kolam in Kudat, six localities in Kota Kinabalu - Taman Sepanggar, Block D and E of Apartment Angkasa, Bandar Sinsuran, Kampung Sepakat Jaya, Kampung Rampayan and Kampung Lokun - Taman Sabana phase 1 in Keningau, Kampung Berhala Darat and Kampung Melayu Bumiputra in Sandakan and Kampung Ngapas, Jalan Kebun Lama in Papar.

"The locality in Kuala Lumpur is Taman Hock Ann at Jalan Klang Lama while in Sarawak, the affected areas are the workers' quarters at Ladang Pelitanah 1 and 2 in Mukah.

"We have decided to place the localities under enhanced MCO from July 25 until Aug 7 following a risk assessment and infection trend," he said in a statement on Friday (July 23).

Meanwhile, Ismail Sabri also announced that the enhanced MCO at Apartment Sri Rakyat in Bandar Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur and Block 11 and 12, Lorong 4, Taman Nuri in Negri Sembilan will end as scheduled on Saturday (July 24).
