Taxi driver runs amok and crashes into cars at KK International Airport

KOTA KINABALU: A taxi driver is believed to have run amok at the Kota Kinabalu International Airport waiting area by deliberately crashing into several vehicles on Monday (July 19).

It was not immediately known why he did it although some social media users claimed he was upset after being overtaken by another vehicle.

It was also unclear whether he was under the influence of any substance or alcohol when the incident happened.

A video of the incident is being shared on social media platforms including WhatsApp.

According to witnesses, the man first crashed into several cars before stopping and laying on the ground momentarily.

He then stood up, got back into his car and allegedly rammed more vehicles.

Kota Kinabalu acting OCPD Supt George Rakman said police were still gathering information on the incident.
