Five localities in Sabah, Sarawak under EMCO from July 16-29, says Ismail Sabri

PETALING JAYA: Five localities in East Malaysia will be placed under the enhanced movement control order for 14 days from July 16 to 29, says Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

Four of them are in Sabah and one of them is in Sarawak, Ismail Sabri said in a statement on Wednesday (July 14).

The localities are Kampung Jagoi Duyoh in Kuching, Sarawak while the localities in Sabah that are affected are Kampung Lubak in Beaufort, three blocks of the Projek Perumahan Rakyat (PPR) Taman Mesra in Sandakan, Blok Angsana and Blok Sumboi-Sumboi of Kampung Seberang Benoni in Papar, as well as Kampung Melalam in Sipitang.

Ismail Sabri also said that the EMCO in Kampung Landung Ayang in Kudat, Sabah, that was supposed to end on Thursday (July 15), will be extended to July 29.

He also said that the EMCO in five localities would also end, four of them as scheduled on Thursday.

They are Jalan Kubur in Kuala Lumpur, Kampung Pangkal Jetas in Machang, Kelantan, the Jelebu Prison and staff quarters in Negri Sembilan, and Taman Public in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.

The EMCO in Kampung Gusi Kinarut in Papar, Sabah ends on Wednesday.
