Nine rescued, three held over human smuggling

KOTA KINABALU: A syndicate involved in human smuggling has been crippled by the state Immigration Department after nine women were rescued in Semporna in Sabah’s east coast.

State Immigration director Datuk Dr Muhamad Sade Mohamad Amin said two men and a woman were arrested over their suspected involvement in the syndicate.
