IPOH: All Umno members should abide by supreme council decisions as it is the party's apex decision-making body, says Ramli Mohd Nor.
''As an Umno MP, I am not exempted and will abide by the party decision," said the Cameron Highlands MP.
"My stand is the same as Pahang Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail's, who is also Pahang Umno chairman.
"The mandate is now on the party president and supreme council to set a date to leave the Federal government," he told The Star on Saturday (July 10).
Umno president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi on Thursday (July 8) said the party had decided to officially withdraw support for Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin as prime minister.
This was in line with the supreme council decision made on July 7 to give the mandate to the president and supreme council to set a date to leave the Perikatan Nasional-led government.
Ramli said his main task now was to help folk who are impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic.
"I am focusing on efforts and initiatives to help the people, especially those in my constituency," he said.
