Higher daily cases expected as screenings ramped up, says DG


PUTRAJAYA: Malaysia’s daily Covid-19 cases saw a surge with 8,868 more infections. This is the country’s second highest daily total, behind the 9,020 cases recorded on May 29.

Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said Covid-19 figures were expected to increase due to ramped up screening activities at enhanced movement control order areas.
