PETALING JAYA: Malaysian-born Mervin Singham has been appointed as a chief executive for the newly-formed Ministry for Ethnic Communities in New Zealand.
The Ethnic Studies Ministry was launched on July 1 and its minister Priyanca Radhakrishnan said this was the first time that ethnic communities in New Zealand would have a ministry, whose sole focus was to uplift the well-being of ethnic communities and it would be led by Mervin as chief executive.
