Tengku Zafrul: Moratorium estimated at RM80bil, Malaysia only country implementing it for second time

KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama): The six-month moratorium offered through the National People's Well-Being and Economic Recovery Package (Pemulih) is estimated to bring relief of up to RM80bil to individual and business borrowers, says Finance Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz.

He said the granting of the moratorium was only a temporary measure, part of the National Recovery Plan (NRP) initiative. It needs to be seen together with the efforts of everyone involved to speed up the transition to the next phase of the NRP, he said.
