IGP: Bukit Aman CID looking into report against Takiyuddin

KUALA LUMPUR: Bukit Aman CID is carrying out an investigation over a police report lodged against Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan, says Datuk Seri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani.

The Inspector-General of Police said relevant parties would be called up to assist in the investigation should the need arises.

"We can confirm that we have received a police report against him (Takiyuddin)," he said when contacted on Friday (June 18).

Pakatan Harapan Youth had lodged police reports against the Minister in the Prime Minister's Department, claiming that Takiyuddin had insulted the King's view.

This came after Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Mustafa Billah Shah expressed his opinion that Parliament must reconvene as soon as possible.

Responding to this, Takiyuddin said the King did not specify which month but merely stated that the sitting should be held "as soon as possible".
