Home Minister: Most enforcement personnel now vaccinated against Covid-19


PUTRAJAYA: Almost all of the Home Ministry's frontliners have been vaccinated, with 133, 781 personnel being fully inoculated.

Home Minister Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin said this number is out of 166, 263 enforcement personnel working with agencies under the Ministry.

He said that 96, 183 police personnel have been fully vaccinated while 108, 595 have received their first dose.

"With them being vaccinated, it gives our enforcement personnel confidence to carry out their duties in fighting Covid-19," he said on Friday (June 18).

Hamzah added that out of 14, 321 Immigration personnel nationwide, 10, 976 of them have received two vaccine doses while 11, 738 have received their first dose.

He added that along with this, 14, 667 Prisons Department staff have been fully vaccinated.

Hamzah thanked the Special Committee on Covid-19 Vaccine Supply Access Guarantee (JKJAV) for ensuring that the Ministry's frontliners are vaccinated.
