Covid-19: Infectivity rate at 0.95, says Health DG

PETALING JAYA: The Covid-19 infectivity rate in the country is at 0.95, says Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.

An infectivity rate of above 1 means more people will get infected, and a value below 1 means the number of cases will go down.

According to Health Ministry statistics, only Negri Sembilan had an infectivity rate above 1.0. The state currently has an infectivity rate of 1.08.

Selangor recorded an infectivity rate of 0.93 as of Friday (June 18).

The country recorded an additional 6,440 Covid-19 cases, bringing the total number of infections to 685,204.
