Cops: Only three areas in Kg Sungai Penchala under EMCO

KUALA LUMPUR: The enhanced movement control order (MC0) imposed in Kampung Sungai Penchala does not involve the whole area, police say.

Brickfields OCPD Asst Comm Anuar Omar said the enhanced MCO only involved Jalan Sungai Penchala 11, Jalan Sungai Penchala 12 and Jalan Sungai Penchala 12(A).

"As the enhanced MCO at Kampung Sungai Penchala reaches its fifth day, there is still some confusion among residents.

"To clear the air, I can confirm that the areas involved are the three areas mentioned above," he said in a statement on Monday (June 14).

He hoped that the statement would give a clear picture on the areas covered by the enhanced MCO.

"We hope it can also prevent confusion and enable easier movement in and out of the surrounding areas.

"We hope everyone will comply with Covid-19 standard operating procedures (SOP) as our ultimate goal is to break the chain of infection," he added.
