Elderly man injured in Mount Erskine fire

GEORGE TOWN: A man who is in his 70s was injured in a fire.

Penang Fire and Rescue Department (operation and safety) officer Nafis Ariff Abdullah said the department received a distress call at around 4.20pm on Monday (March 29).

When the team arrived at the scene, several terrace houses along Jalan Mount Erskine were found to be ablaze.

“A man was injured due to being exposed to the heat, ” he said in a statement.
