Takiyuddin laments lost relationships, unrequited love amidst strained Bersatu-Umno ties

PETALING JAYA: With ties at breaking point between Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia and Umno, PAS secretary-general Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan has lamented lost relationships and unrequited love.

"I may have lost someone who didn't love me, but you lost someone who truly loved you," he said in a Facebook post on Sunday (March 28).

Included in the post were photos of PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang, Umno president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and Bersatu president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, superimposed over the flags of their respective parties.

PAS is currently part of the Perikatan Nasional coalition together with Bersatu and Umno.

Umno recently declared that it would only support the Perikatan government until the dissolution of Parliament, confirming strained ties between Umno and Bersatu.
