District health officer pleads not guilty to eight counts of bribery


BUTTERWORTH: A district health officer pleaded not guilty in a Sessions Court here to eight counts of bribery involving RM25,887 over the purchase of cleaning products.

Sumardi Yazid, 40, denied four charges of having proposed Syarikat Perkhidmatan Disinfeksi GMY, belonging to his younger brother, as supplier of various cleaning supplies such as garbage bags, spray cans and other general items worth RM13,890 at the district Health Department clinic in Berapit, Bukit Mertajam on March 8,2016.
