A MAN from China’s Hunan province placed diapers on six chickens gifted to him after they dirtied his living room with faeces, China Press reported.

The live chickens were given to him by a friend on the first day of the Lunar New Year.

Not accustomed to handling livestock, the man was shocked to find out how much each chicken could poop each day, which ended up all over his furniture.

So he herded them into a bathroom before grabbing some diapers and putting them on the birds.

A video of the chickens in diapers had amused social media users.

“To be forced into a diaper is humiliating, ” someone quipped.

> Even though they were allowed to resume business two days before Chinese New Year, clothing retailers had missed out on a “golden opportunity” to sell stocks meant for the festive season, China Press reported, quoting the Federation of Malaysian Fashion and Textile Association.

Association president Datuk Seri Tan Thian Poh said that sales figures among its members were expected to be less than half of what they made in previous CNY seasons.

However, Tan admitted that business would have been worse if retailers had been forced to remain closed throughout the festivity.

> Chinese singer Na Ying, 53, was seen sobbing at a reality show recently after being frustrated at not being able to perform a dance move despite multiple attempts, Sin Chew Daily reported.

Na Ying, who was one of the judges in the popular programme Sing! China, was a participant in Season Two of the reality TV series Sisters Who Make Waves.

However, dancing was not Na Ying’s forte.

As one of the oldest participants in her group, she crumbled under pressure when one of the dance teachers grilled her on one of the dance sequences.
