Subang cops bust two brothels after public tip-offs

SUBANG JAYA: Two brothels here have been busted by the police following public tip-offs.

"The first location was along Jalan USJ 21/11, where eight alleged prostitutes and a shopkeeper were arrested. We also seized several items, including 57 condoms, massage oil and RM75 in cash. This is the third time that we have raided this shoplot.

"The second raid at a hotel here at Jalan PJS 11 saw 13 people arrested, including a shopkeeper and three customers, said Subang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Abd Khalid Othman here Wednesday (Jan 20) night.

The raids were a part of an ongoing anti-vice operation dubbed Ops Noda.

ACP Abd Khalid said that the hotel in the second raid was used entirely for the illegal operation, believed to operate from noon to 9pm.

Social media applications such as WeChat and WhatsApp were used by the groups to promote and communicate with clients.

Both raids were the results of follow ups of public tip-offs, he added.

"We would like to thank the public, and we will definitely act on it and perform raids if they give us any information," he said.
