> A man from Changzhou, Jiangsu province, China, narrowly escaped death after popping a pimple on his face, Oriental Daily reported.

The man, known as Chen, had squeezed a pimple on his chin in December and ended up with swollen lips and breathing difficulties.

After he was rushed to the hospital, he was diagnosed with lung infection and put on life support for a month.

A deputy director of the hospital said due to the dense blood vessels surrounding the lips, once the bacteria on the finger entered the body during the process of squeezing a pimple, it could lead to infection of organs.

The doctor said if the situation was severe and not treated in time, it could be life-threatening.
