Health officials clean up quarantine centre toilets

KOTA KINABALU: Health officials moved in to clean up the bathrooms and toilets at the Likas Covid-19 low-risk quarantine centre here after some of its occupants highlighted the conditions on social media.

A man quarantined at the centre had earlier posted a picture on Facebook of him and three others cleaning the bathroom while complaining about the poor sanitary conditions there.

In his post, the man claimed that some of the sinks were clogged and dirty, and that rubbish was not collected since they were placed there under quarantine.
