PUTRAJAYA: The enhanced movement control order (MCO) enforced on Taman Telipok Ria in Tuaran, Sabah has been lifted.

Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said the enhanced MCO order on the locality was enforced on Nov 27 and was later extended till Dec 24.

He said as of Dec 22, health authorities had conducted 9,065 screenings for Covid-19 and the cumulative positive cases recorded stood at 806.

“However, the Health Ministry has confirmed that the remaining number of active cases are under control and there is a downward trend in the number of cases recorded in the locality.

“Therefore, with the advice of the ministry, the National Security Council special meeting has agreed to end the enhanced MCO on Taman Telipok Ria on Dec 24 as scheduled,” he said on Thursday (Dec 24).
