Covid-19: 1,153 new cases reported, one fatality brings death toll to 433


PUTRAJAYA: Malaysia recorded 1,153 new Covid-19 infections on Saturday (Dec 1930), says the Health Ministry.

Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said, in a statement Saturday, that the country also reported one new Covid-19 fatality, bringing the country’s death toll to 433.

There were 998 patients who recovered and were discharged, which means the total number of people who have recovered from Covid-19 in the country is 76,242.

Active cases in the country now stand at 15,294.

In total, Malaysia has recorded 91,969 Covid-19 cases.

Currently, 112 people are being treated at intensive care units, with 56 of them requiring ventilator support.
