Police to re-arrest Da'i Syed over alleged rape, molestation

PETALING JAYA: The police will re-arrest religious TV personality Da'i Syed on Sunday (Dec 6) to assist the investigation into several police reports alleging rape and molestation, says says Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Nik Ezanee Mohd Faisal.

He added in a text message to the press on Sunday that two reports have been lodged in the district against him so far.

On Thursday (Dec 3), Selangor police chief Comm Datuk Noor Azam Jamaludin said that five more reports had been received by the police.

He said even more reports against him could be made as police investigations continue.

On Nov 27, the police arrested a male celebrity of a reality television show at the Shah Alam district police headquarters.

Since then, several reports have been lodged with the police by other women.
