Eateries, some businesses in conditional MCO areas can now open until midnight, says Ismail Sabri

PETALING JAYA: Eateries and other businesses in states under the conditional MCO can now operate until midnight, says Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

"I have received a lot of queries on this and we have agreed that restaurants and businesses such as convenience stores and petrol stations can now operate until midnight," the Defence Minister said at his Covid-19 briefing Monday (Nov 23).

He added that the change in operating hours would be effective immediately.

On driving schools being allowed to operate again, he said that discussions have been conducted with the Transport Ministry to determine the SOPs needed.

"We have discussed this and we agreed to have them operate again.

"We will let the Transport Ministry inform the schools," he said.

Regarding the mass Covid-19 testing for foreign workers, he said that the Human Resources Ministry has been instructed to make the appropriate plans to ensure less crowds.

"The testing will now be based on the RTK Antigen method," he said.
