Dr Wee hopes for a smooth Parliamentary meeting

KUALA LUMPUR: Transport Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong is hoping for the current Parliamentary meeting to be smooth and free from politicking, as Dewan Rakyat reconvenes on Monday (Nov 2).

Dr Wee also noted that Budget 2021, which will be tabled in Parliament this Friday (Nov 6), is among the heavily discussed topics at present.

“Welcome back to Parliament for the third meeting of the 13th session of the 14th Parliament that commences Nov 2 until Dec 15, ” he said on Facebook on Monday.

“Whatever it is, we all hope for the current Parliamentary meeting to run smoothly and free from politicking, as decreed by the King for the good of the people, as well as the country.

“Covid-19 and economic recovery are among the main topics that we should give serious attention to,” he added.

On Oct 25, the King decreed that there was no need for an Emergency and reminded politicians to stop politicking, as it could disrupt the stability of the country’s administration.

Budget 2021 is scheduled to be tabled this Friday, followed by almost two weeks of debates, three days of ministerial replies and is scheduled to be voted on Nov 23 in Parliament.
