SEREMBAN: There is no need to declare a national state of emergency to defer the Sarawak polls and the Batu Sapi by-election in Sabah as this is unnecessary and not the best option, says Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan (pic).
The Umno deputy president said this was because the Sarawak state assembly only needed to be dissolved at the latest by June next year, with polls held within 60 days.
