Govt agrees that MACC chief will be appointed via constitutional process


PETALING JAYA: The government has agreed in principle to the proposal that the appointment of the chief of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) will go through a constitutional process.

MACC chief commissioner Datuk Seri Azam Baki (pic) said that the decision was reached during the Special Cabinet Committee on Anti-Corruption (JKKMAR) which was chaired by Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.
