PUTRAJAYA: Three more individuals have been remanded for five days in connection with an investigation into the alleged misappropriation of about RM450,000 in notice of penalty (NOP) charges involving a property company linked to a statutory body.
The suspects, all men in their 50s, comprise a deputy general manager for construction, an occupational safety and health manager, and a project director of the property company, which is a subsidiary of the statutory body.
Magistrate Ezrene Zakariah granted the remand order until Aug 9 after allowing the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission’s (MACC) application at the Putrajaya Magistrate's Court on Wednesday (Aug 5).

Sources said the three were arrested at about 6pm on Tuesday (Aug 4) when they turned up to give their statements at the MACC headquarters.
"Initial investigations revealed that the suspects allegedly conspired in the misappropriation of the penalty charges between 2017 and 2019," the source said.
The latest arrests are part of investigations by a special task force set up to examine the findings of the Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) on Tabung Haji, which were made public through the Malaysian Islamic Development Department (Jakim) portal on July 29, 2026.
When contacted, MACC chief commissioner Datuk Seri Abd Halim Aman confirmed the arrests and said the case is being investigated under Section 17(a) of the MACC Act 2009.
