KOTA KINABALU: The deportation exercise for illegal immigrants will continue despite ongoing concerns over Covid-19, with the latest batch of 380 Filipinos sent back to their home country after they were screened. National Security Council Sabah director Sharifah Sitti Saleha Habib said the immigrants were sent back on ferry via Sandakan port to Zamboanga City in southern Philippines on Tuesday.
All were screened for Covid-19 and hygiene measures put in place before they boarded the ferry in Sandakan, she said.
