PETALING JAYA: Police are investigating a man for allegedly prostituting his own daughter.

Kajang OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Zaid Hassan said an aunt of the alleged victim lodged a police report on July 11.

"The complainant claimed her niece was raped and prostituted by her father. The victim is 13 years old," he said.

He also said the man allegedly raped the victim when she was 10.

"Her mother confronted the suspect and he didn't repeat his actions.

"However, from mid-2019 until February 2020, the suspect forced the victim to have sex with around 20 customers," ACP Zaid said in a statement on Sunday (July 12).

He added that the acts allegedly happened at the victim's house.

Police are currently searching for the suspect.

Those with information on the case are urged to contact investigating officer Insp Hafiza at 018-390 3410 or 03-8911 4222 or the nearest police station.
