Woman jailed four weeks over possession of endangered turtle eggs


KOTA KINABALU: A woman was jailed four weeks by the Sessions Court here on Tuesday (June 23) for illegal possession of 27 green turtle eggs.

Bahira Juwah, 53, was also slapped with a RM800 fine by Sessions Court Judge Indra Ayub after she pleaded guilty to the offence under Section 40(2)(a) of the Wildlife Conservation Enactment 1997.
