PETALING JAYA: Pakatan Plus is expected to decide on its prime minister candidate by Tuesday.
“God willing, ” said PKR communications director Fahmi Fadzil (pic).
He said discussions were ongoing and an announcement was expected to be made next week.
“This meeting is a Pakatan Harapan presidential council meeting, following the meeting with Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia members that are aligned to Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and Parti Warisan Sabah, ” he told reporters after the meeting at PKR headquarters here yesterday.
“This is not a Pakatan Plus meeting. There will be one more meeting on the Pakatan Harapan and Pakatan Plus level, ” he said.
Pakatan Plus top leaders had earlier held a meeting on Tuesday and had said the meeting yielded “positive development”.
Pakatan Plus is an informal term which refers to Pakatan Harapan after Bersatu and several PKR leaders left the coalition.
Those who attended the meeting yesterday included PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, DAP national organising secretary Anthony Loke, DAP deputy chairman Gobind Singh Deo, Parti Amanah Negara president Mohamad Sabu and deputy president Datuk Seri Salahuddin Ayub.
