KUALA LUMPUR: A deliveryman who pleaded guilty to violating the movement control order (MCO) was sentenced by the Ampang Magistrate's Court here to one month's jail after he asked to be imprisoned instead of paying a fine.
Aliff Ameruddin, 29, told Magistrate Farah Nasihah Annuar that he could not afford to pay a fine, which could be as high as RM1,000.
