Covid-19: Sabah Law Society wants specific law to handle breaches of contract caused by MCO


KOTA KINABALU: The government should enact a law to address legal issues that are likely to arise from breaches of contract during the movement control order (MCO) period, says the Sabah Law Society.

The legal body suggested that a Covid Measures Act (CMA) be tabled either in Parliament or the various state assemblies to mitigate potential suits that may arise from breaches of that occur during the MCO.
