BEAUFORT: Pakatan Harapan's transition plan for the prime minister's post should be carried out properly, says PKR president Datu Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

"Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad is a man of much experience and vision.

"We have an understanding and agreement that we must do it in a proper way," he said when asked to comment on PKR leaders call for a timeline to hand over the premiership to him.

He said he did not agree with setting dates as the transition process should be done peacefully and through proper procedures.

Asked what would be the best time for the transition to take so Pakatan can be ready for GE15, Anwar said such matters should be discussed amicably.

He said that the Prime Minister himself had said that he was committed and ready for the transition.

'This matter is best resolved amicably by Pakatan," he said, adding that he deferred to Dr Mahathir.

Earlier, Anwar campaigned for Parti Warisan Sabah's Kimanis by-election candidate, Datuk Karim Bujang.

He said Warisan and Pakatan were working together to bring change to the country while preseving the unity and harmony of the country.

"Kimanis voters must reject parties bringing in extremism," he said at the ceramah in Kampung Pimping here.
