Latheefa: MACC data shows almost half of graft detainees from civil service

SHAH ALAM: Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission (MACC) data shows that 46.3% out of the 4, 860 individuals detained for graft from 2014 up to June this year were civil servants, says Latheefa Koya.

"Most of the graft cases involved staff from the procurement sector. It is more worrisome that 53.4% out of the 4, 860 individuals detained were aged 40 and below, " said the MACC chief commissioner.
