Ten Pahang PKR divisions pledge support for Anwar

KUANTAN: Ten out of 14 Pahang PKR divisions have pledged their support for party president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s leadership.

Except for the Bera, Paya Besar, Pekan and Bentong divisions, all other division chiefs stated their undivided support for Anwar to determine the direction and future of the party.

The statement, which was signed by state PKR chief Fuziah Salleh also stated that they supported Anwar to shoulder the responsibility and trust in leading the country as the eighth prime minister.

PKR is facing fissures from rival factions aligned to Anwar and his deputy Datuk Seri Azmin Ali.

Pahang PKR communications bureau chief Wan Fauzuldin Wan Samad said the Youth wing and other committee members of the state leadership had expressed their support too.

Asked whether the four divisions gave any reason why they did not state their support, Wan Fauzuldin said they did not want to get involved.But when contacted, Bera division chief Zakaria Abdul Hamid said he and the other divisions fully supported the leadership of Anwar, Azmin and the central committee.
