10 years of memories as aide-de-camp

PEKAN: A decade of service as the aide-de-camp to the late Pahang’s Paduka Ayahanda Sultan Ahmad Shah Al-Musta’in Billah will not be erased from the memory of Lt-Col Nazatul Rina Lasim.

Lt-Col Nazatul of the Royal Malaysian Armed Forces said she learnt a lot from the personality of the late Sultan Ahmad Shah, who prioritised the welfare of others and was always generous at heart.

“I am proud that I could serve Tuanku to the end of his life. This experience is irreplaceable and will be a special memory to me.

“Tuanku allowed me to look after my father when he was receiving treatment at hospital, although duties required me to be beside Tuanku always,’’ she said at the royal burial ceremony.

Reflecting on the personality of Sultan Ahmad Shah, Lt-Col Nazatul said he was always curious about the development of the people and wanted to be the first person at the scene during a disaster. — Bernama
