PJ bar fight ends with four car-loads' of men with parangs killing one guy


PETALING JAYA: A bar fight here led, an hour later, to four car-loads of men with parangs, slashing a man to death.

The victim, who has been identified at 28-year old Edward Rishal S Reggie, was attacked by a group of men in the very early hours of Sunday morning (Dec 16) at a pub here.

"CCTV footage showed a fight outside the bar at around 5.32am.

"Then at 6.38am, four cars arrived and multiple men with weapons came out of the vehicles with weapons," said Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Zani Che Din when contacted today (Dec 16).

"The victim was attacked with what we believe to be a machete (parang), before running back into the pub."

The victim was pronounced dead by medical officers at 7.40am.

Follow up investigations have led to three arrests.

"The suspects are aged between 20 to 31 years old. The police also seized three machetes and four cars," he said.

Investigations are still ongoing.
