Anti-Icerd crowd clogs up Masjid Jamek LRT station

KUALA LUMPUR: The Masjid Jamek LRT station was clogged up by anti-Icerd (International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination) rally goers, severely delaying commuters from exiting and entering the station.

Decked up in white, the rally goers at the train station were on the way out to Panggung Bandaraya, one of the meeting points before they march to Dataran Merdeka later, where a much bigger crowd awaits.

Curious tourists at the train station could be seen snapping photographs of the rally goers, who shouted slogans such as "Hidup Melayu" and "Hidup Islam" to enliven the atmosphere while being stuck in the human traffic jam.

Some families brought their toddlers in strollers as well as their elderly family members.

Outside the station, traders were peddling rally merchandise such as t-shirts and muffler scarves.
