Man arrested for slashing neighbour in Ampang


KUALA LUMPUR: Police have arrested a 41-year-old man for brutally assaulting one of his neighbours.

Ampang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Hamzah Alias said the incident occurred at 6.25pm on Wednesday (Nov 7).

"We received a report from a woman who claimed her husband had been attacked in front of her house.

"She said she was in her house at Persiaran Ampang Saujana, when she heard loud noises and went out and found her husband covered in blood," he said when contacted on Friday (Nov 9).

He said the man suffered injuries to his head and right arm.

"The man told his wife that he was slashed by their neighbour, who lived across the road.

"We have arrested the suspect and seized a parang and two knives," he said, adding that the case was being investigated under Section 326 of The Penal Code for voluntarily causing grievous hurt with dangerous weapons.
